Dear lord what a chapter we just came from. As little as R. Earl seemed to know about ships and sailing, as much mastery he still has in crafting real human interactions. The scene of F&L ritually drinking the bottle of spirits and taking turns swearing oaths of vengeance while eulogizing poor Sergej was phenomenal. The cointoss and dismissal of graveyard laborers lending gravitas to Monsieur D'artauds affection towards the Strigany lad. I wonder about the balance of our heroes savings right about now. Are we still comfortably above a fortune of 500 crowns? I doubt it. However, im sure the end of this tale will see the young Bretonnians pockets swell once more, if only until Mortissio finds cause to empty them again. Now, away from these comments i must before this entire video is spoiled to me. Cheerio GDN, and once more I hope this comment finds you in good health and humour!

I love that Robert Earl made them drop the wine just because fuck Florin. The sailors could have obviously just stayed on deck for the hour or two ride home, the problem of "not having room for both" makes no sense. The herring boat was at first described as having unusually large capacity, and if you know about medieval herring demand, that means it has a cargo hold around the size of a delivery truck. But still, R. Earl obviously knew nothing about seafaring, since he wrote that this same vessel could be crewed by 2 noobs as well as being rowed in strong currents. There is no consistency at all, except that the god of this tale, the writer, decided that F&L did not deserve their wealth until long after this tale ends Edit: As always, GDN, a masterfully enjoyable reading. Man this video was 5 years ago. I have to say great work with the lore videos. I am new to this lore and loving it. I just picked up the new games on steam and was left with many unanswered lore queries, especially with the new battletech game. Great work glad you decided to keep up with it.

The one thing I was always curious about was who killed his daughter and grandsons and why? Unless the viscount had other son who married Brunner’s daughter and the grandson who Brunner saved was also his grandsons. Or maybe I am misremembering the story. Been a few years

Oh boy the Art work for Albion is magical and mysterious especially the beast. peaks that look like Carrauntoohil mountains from Ireland-- Rocky grassy terrain and Misty atmosphere oh man is like being there. And those Giants got Big Kahuna's to mess around with dragons and the moorsland's at 8:18 looks like something out of Dagobah 'I" bet the books at the forge of the old ones are bigger, than the book of grudges, with all that knowledge But some books are meant to be left alone. also I don't doubt those magical weapons in the containers, could be some laser blasters?? I'm always fascinated at the descriptions of such environments, as each Warhammer story including them consistently presents some previously-unencountered architectural grandeur. And what a distinctive entrance this former engineer-turned-slayer makes...then segueing into this novel's version of the Fellowship of the Nine walking into Moria. Nice matador move versus that marauder mid-combat, Felix, toro. Even though Gotrek's plan, always-a-plan, was greater in effectiveness - chaos by rock for worshippers of Chaos. The climactic transformation to cap this off with a cliffhanger is even worse than any werewolf, Chaos hound or Bretonnian noble on horseback (where else?). What a way to leave us hanging 'til tomorrow, so with that, I bid you good day, night and good weekend, Narrator, with my thanks for another round of your Narrations.

Felix sometimes hesitates when he should attack. While this thing was transforming he could have got a couple of good blows in. But he's always the observer first.

If Salamanders are already considered the biggest first born marines and Primaris are generally larger than the firstborn brothers, does that mean the Dark Krakens are nearly primarch sized space marines?

One thing that has continued to confuse me is that the armor of the Space Marines is supposed to be impervious except to major force or supernatural strength, and yet, we always see that just about anything can still get through it. I can't see how hypothetical versus scenarios of Space Marines against some other force can't defeat them easily unless modern weaponry when even wildlife of all sorts can even penetrate Primaris suits.

Oh boy the dark Kraken's chapter story is awesome also "I" too love ocean themed stuff like The Salamanders dark Kraken's there story for the battle of Heraldo Forest was bloody and atrocious indeed that four way war of attrition, with the combine imperial forces of death watch and 2 space Marine outfits like Wolf's spear chapter and Orc's Tyranid's and unsong wolf's That was too the extreme plus the characters themselves in the story were very interesting, plus the unsong wolf's we're also particularly interesting, because they we're just trying to survive as nature intended. That Artwork at 5:26 is the best example why The Tyranid's, are so feared throughout the imperium. Plus that artwork of dark Kraken's models at 2:09 is badass looking and well painted, the dark Kraken's the trident's of Naktis." 😃👍

The Iron Snakes are also a maritime themed chapter :) arguably the Space Wolves are too... Carcharodons are trickier what with not having a home world, but in Silent Hunter the marines in that have an oceanic culture...
